I added this Hawker “Hurricane” MkIIA postcard to my collection. It was a purchase. There are facts about the aircraft on the back. The following description is also on the back:
The Hawker Hurricane was one of the most famous British fighters of World War II. It is probably the best known for its performance during the Battle of Britain. The Hurricane on display at the National Museum of the United States Air Force is painted in the markings of 71 Squadron, one of the three Eagle Squadrons of the Royal Air Force. The Eagle Squadrons were made up of Americans who volunteered to fly for the British prior to America’s entry into WWII.
